Shelley — Sequins & Studio (Archive)
This shoot with Shelley takes me right back to the late ’80s. I had my Nikon FM2 loaded with film and a small studio setup — nothing fancy, just light stands, a backdrop, and a willingness to experiment.
Shelley brought sequins, style, and a lot of patience. I was still figuring things out: how to use studio light, how to shape mood, how to direct without overthinking. Looking back, the images feel very much of their time — stylized poses, soft glamour, and that unmistakable film grain — but they also show the early threads of what would become my voice as a photographer.
These archives aren’t just nostalgia. They’re reminders that every stage of the process matters — the early experiments just as much as the polished work.
